The Foundation Fighting Blindness is hosting its 12th Annual Pittsburgh VisionWalk on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Great Lawn outside of Heinz Field starting at 9:00 a.m.
They would like to invite our professionals serving the blind and visually impaired community of western Pennsylvania to this FREE event, for your staff, families and patients.
Our goal is to increase awareness of the Foundation, which is the world’s largest funder of grants for retinal degenerative research. They would like more people to join the anticipated 600-700 people who will be walking along the riverfront.
There will be a lot of activities for everyone, including a bounce house, live band (Shannon and the Merger), Star Wars costumers, mascots, carnival games, face painting, balloon twisting, to name a few. They will also have breakfast snacks, and a hot dog lunch grilled fresh by their volunteers.
You can register your office or other team at Pittsburgh VisionWalk for free, and add your teammates there as well. It’s a great way to promote your involvement with the community, and enjoy a fun morning with your staff and guests.
If you have any questions, contact Event Manager Steve Sroka at (847) 549-1477 or email at SSroka@FightingBlindness.org.
