February 3, 2022

Featuring David Crandall, MD

The Society concluded their 2021-2022 monthly meeting series by welcoming  David Crandall, MD, staff ophthalmologist, Henry Ford Eye Care Services, Department of Ophthalmology, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI.  Thank you to Ian Conner, MD, PhD for inviting Dr. Crandall.  Dr. Crandall presented,  Update on Pseudoexfoliation and Outreach Ophthalmology.  Both presentations provided the basis for an engaging question and answer session. Manual Paez, MD, Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Eye Center, presented an interesting case for commentary by Dr. Crandall.

January 6, 2022 - Featuring Gregory S.H. Ogawa, MD

The Society hosted a virtual meeting in January and were pleased to welcome Gregory S.H. Ogawa, MD, Eye Associates of New Mexico Partner & Medical Administrative Officer;  University of New Mexico School of Medicine Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Ogawa presented, Vitrectomy for the Anterior Segment Surgeon and It's Just A Cataract, Right? Both lectures generated extensive discussions. Zachary Nadler, MD, Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Eye Center, presented a case for discussion and comment by Dr. Ogawa.    

December 2, 2022 

featuring Edwin H. Ryan, MD

The society welcomed Edwin Ryan, MD, Vitreoretinal Surgery, PLLC, Associate Clinical Professor Ophthalmology, University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology. Thank you to Thierry Verstraeten, MD POS board member, for inviting Dr. Ryan.

Dr. Ryan presented, Management of Patients with Vitreous Opacities  and Management of Primary Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment - Lessons   Each lecture provided stimulating discussion and interesting Q&A.  David Mora-Boellstorff, MD, Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Eye Center, presented an interesting case for commentary by Dr. Ryan.
